• special features: Truly remarkable. Very unique scent profile. Highly pheromonal/aphrodisiac. Made from mature agarwood trees that died naturally and were submerged in a river for an unknown period of time. This has definitely influenced the scent of the oil, but did not result in any fermented notes as one might expect.
• scent description: Effervescent, nocturnal, and utterly alluring jungle-distilled black magic. Spicy and herbal voodoo from the outset with no vices; top notes include myriad green herbal notes, star anise, nutmeg, cassia, bourbon vanilla, fine dark rum, and smooth cinnamon. Whispers of petrichor, damp clay, thunderstorm black soil, and prickling anticipation dance in the mix. Drydown features expanding bitter caramel, creme brulee, cinnamon heart candy, and ripe black grapes. Carpenters shop and soft natural leather wait, patiently deep into the drydown.
• special note: Already unique and unexpected in terms of Oud, plus an unusually high level of human sex pheromone analogs. While Oud, in general, is well-known as an aphrodisiac, true aphrodisiacs are defined by their high levels of human hormone and pheromone-mimicking constituents, as opposed to a more subjective experience of something that just smells really nice. While Oud oils, in general, will vary dramatically in their true aphrodisiac qualities, we think Papua Elixir is particularly noteworthy in this regard.
