This local artisanal distillation of “KUSUNOKI” or Japanese Camphor tree, Camphora officinarum, the true historical Japanese camphor wood tree, offers us a gorgeous essential oil with more complexity and interesting aromatic notes than common camphor.
(most camphor and camphor wood products sold internationally are a different species altogether Dryobalanops aromatica, also often called Borneol once extracted.)
