A must-have limited collectors edition epic Oud. One of the most expensive Oud oils we have ever produced due to the especially high grade of wood we chose for this oil. Made from one single wild tree.
• production: March 2024, distillation of one single wild tree found near Hue, Vietnam, distilled in-house by Tha. Copper still, glass collector.
• scent highlights: black pepper, cognac, black fruits and berries, sweet spices, vanilla, deep florals. Highly pheromonal.
• scent description: opens with intense black peppercorn, vanilla extract, cognac, black figs and plums, blueberry, rosewood, and sweet simmering brown spices. Soon an intense creaminess emerges smoothing out the spicy elements and bringing with it white lily, talc, fine minerals, black soil, petrichor, coffee berry, buckwheat honey, vanilla cream. Intensely pheromonal, leaning feminine.
• notes of controversy: some barn and very intense black pepper straight from the bottle, harmonizes and softens in 30-60 seconds. Zero barn through the rest of the drydown. We think this feature will smooth out over time with additional aging.
• species: unidentified Aquillaria species (unlikely to be A. crassna, the more common species in Vietnam.)

• How we describe Oud: our scent notes begin about 60 seconds after application to skin, not from the bottle. Why: Hype, Poetry, or Precision?
