Wild Oud Oil

Every Oud in our shop is distilled from 100% wild agarwood, never cultivated or inoculated trees, and aged at least one year before release. Most come from a single mature tree, so each oil carries the character of one place and one tree.

Cambodian Oud from Pursat, Kampot, Koh Kong and Pailin tends toward fruit: apple, stone fruit, berries, brown spice and tobacco. Vietnamese Oud from Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa and Nha Trang is often sweeter and rounder, with cream, suede, resin and old wood. We also carry rarer origins such as Aquilaria rostrata from Terengganu, Malaysia.

Our in-house oils are distilled by Tha Bolton and Pierre Black in copper at our Vietnam headquarters. Partner-distilled oils come from artisans we have worked with in person, and each is lab-tested for purity and authenticity.
